We remember the Panama Canal lock gates opening and releasing us into the Pacific for the first time.
We remember the unique and lovable creatures of the Galapagos…
…and the volcanic landscape they live in.
We remember anchoring in the middle of it all.
We remember diving with hammerhead sharks.
We remember the longest crossing on our circumnavigation…
…3000nm of blue skies, big rolling waves, and a wet cockpit!
We remember overdosing on fish!
We remember the dramatic peaks of the Marquesas, rising jaggedly up out of the ocean, our first sighting of land after 21 days at sea.
We remember their exotic lush vegetation…
…and breathtaking scenery.
We remember showering in the jungle
and the smiling Tikis!
We remember the colourful flowers in the women’s hair
and their traditional dancing!
We remember our first view of a Tuamotu atoll…
…and navigating the pass between the outer reef.
We remember the first time we anchored inside a sunken volcano surrounded by coral…
…and life inside the turquoise lagoon within.
We remember the bombies (and nearly hitting them!)
We remember lots of welcoming local people.
We remember water so clear we could see to the bottom 30 metres below.
We remember drift diving through an atoll pass with 100s of reef sharks.
We remember kite surfing in paradise…
…and trying to learn!

We remember the surfing.
We remember climbing to the top and looking down.
We remember anchoring in a submerged atoll in the middle of the ocean.
We remember the incredible diving there!
We remember the vibrant underwater world
and being chased by curious sharks!
We remember the big creatures…
…and the the small ones.
We remember waking up to this…
and being alone in paradise…
We remember all the different shades of blue.
We remember you guys from Germany, England, Netherlands, France, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Canada and Australia that we shared it with 🙂
We remember the good times together xxx

Lieber Michael
Thomas
